Every look has a story. Available now at Vision express stores
On this page you can discover how, in just a few simple steps, you could join the growing number of people in the GCC region who are now wearing contact lenses. There's also information on the types of different lenses available. Once you've made the decision to try contact lenses, what's your next step? Here's what you should do, in three simple stages.
Eye test
As long as you have a valid prescription that’s within the expiry date, you won’t need another Eye test to get contact lenses. If you haven’t had a test in a while, it’s easy to book an appointment online. Or just call into your local Vision Express store.
Our optometrists have over 100 ways of assessing your vision, eye health and suitability for contact lenses. And they’ll select the tests most appropriate to you. Although every Eye test is different, you can expect to be with our eye care professionals for about 30 minutes, during which time you’ll be asked about your lifestyle and particular reasons for wanting contact lenses.
Initial assessment
Whether you have your assessment straight after your Eye test or you arrange one for another date, it will involve spending time with one of our expert optometrists to ensure you have the correct contact lenses for your eyes and your lifestyle. We’ll also show you how to insert and remove your lenses, and how best to look after them.
To make sure the lenses we choose are the right ones for you, we’ll arrange a free trial, so you can get used to them and see how they feel. For the free trial we’ll give you either five pairs of daily disposable lenses or a pair of reusable contact lenses.
Aftercare checkup
Your checkup is free and should take place around two to three weeks after you’ve started wearing your new lenses. This is just to see how you’re getting on with them and to discuss any problems you may be having. We can get a much better idea of how your lenses fit if you’ve been wearing them for at least two hours before your initial checkup.
After that, annual aftercare checkups will give us a picture of your eye health and ensure your contact lenses remain appropriate for your needs. As our assessment of your eye health will be done without your contact lenses in place, please remember to bring along your glasses, if you need them.
